HILLSBOROUGH ATHLETIC FOUNDATION

 We would like to introduce you to the Hillsborough Athletic Foundation (HAF) formed in 2004 as a community-based, New Jersey, non-profit organization. Its mission is:

 To serve the youth of Hillsborough through athletics and increase public

 awareness of the importance of sports and physical fitness in our community.

The HAF will support a wide array of youth and high school sports programs here in Hillsborough through a variety of fund raising activities. We will award grants to sports organizations based on need and purpose. There are many families in our community that would love to have their children participate in the outstanding sports programs Hillsborough offers. Unfortunately, for reasons such as limited fields and funding, not everyone can be accommodated. HAF wants to be one of the sources of support to the community to ensure every child in Hillsborough that wants to participate, can.

One such need in our community is for more athletic fields to serve the growing population of Hillsborough. To fulfill this need, the HAF joined forces with the Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF) to privately fund the resurfacing of the Hillsborough High School athletic field. This field has been resurfaced with state-of-the-art field turf , the same Turf used at Giant Stadium, allowing this facility to be used year round. This will lessen the need for the Township to build and maintain more athletic fields.  Funds for this project were provided entirely from the many caring citizens and businesses in Hillsborough. These privately raised funds, given as a gift to the School Board, are being used to provide our children with the best playing surface available.

However our work is not complete. In order to meet our commitment to the School Board the HAF had to borrow sixty (60) thousand dollars. This loan, combined with the many donations we received from families and businesses here in Hillsborough, has enabled us to deliver a fully funded gift to the Board. We are requesting your assistance in helping the HAF retire the loan. You may become a part of this exciting project by joining the many Hillsborough families and businesses that have already contributed. By purchasing a personalized BRICK with your desired inscription, you will become part of Hillsborough’s history.  Your personalized BRICK will be placed at the Hillsborough Walk of Fame, a beautifully landscaped area located around the flagpole at the high school field, as a dedication to those that made this dream possible.  The following sponsorship levels are available:
